My husband and I stayed at Torre Bisenzio with our family from August 17th to August 31st. We had a wonderful stay. You and your husband have done a fantastic job in the renovation of the villa and the development of the agricultural estate. It is a beautiful place. We also very much appreciated the care that Cynthia took in making sure that everything was working well and that we were settled in our arrangements. She made local calls for us regarding restaurants and gave us very helpful information in connection with excursions we made to local towns. She also made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you so much.
Casa Bassa was the best equipped self catering accommodation we have ever stayed at. One of the most impressive features was the attention that had been given to both the exterior and interior design. So many of the features were quite luxurious. The pool garden(s) and barbeque areas were much enjoyed; the views quite magnificente. The service provide by the local manager was excellent, all you would expect plus so many additional thoughtful touches. We would thoroughly recommend this accommodation.
What can I say about Casa Bassa? It’s a little piece of Heaven! We stayed there during our summer holiday in August 2011 and it gave us everything we wanted from a holiday; peace and quiet in a beautiful setting but close enough to interesting places to visit and sightsee (a car is a must). The farmhouse itself is gorgeous with every mod con catered for as well as beautifully landscaped gardens, balcony terrace (with stunning panoramic views), patios and pool area. It’s an hour’s drive from Florence and about 1.5 hours from Rome so there are plenty of interesting and wonderful places to visit as well as a local town 10 mins away for buying food and other essentials. Would we go back? Definitely, we booked for 2012 before we left!
My family first stayed at Casa Bassa in July 2010 and we returned in July 2012, as we had such a restful stay in the villa. The farmhouse is sympathetically restored, retaining character but with every modern convenience. The accommodation is beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. Cynthia, the housekeeper, calls in regularly to ensure that guests are comfortable and have all that they require for a relaxing stay, including a welcome gift of a bottle of the estate’s own delicious olive oil. Cynthia’s husband discreetly tends the gardens and we were lucky enough to be given the excess from the vegetable gardens to supplement our evening barbecues. The views from the terrace are stunning, the only noise being the distant bleating of the estate farm sheep. Casa Bassa is such a haven of relaxation that we had to tear ourselves away to visit Orvieto. Ideas of day trips to Rome and Florence were quickly abandoned in favour of relaxing by the pool! We have booked a return stay in August this year and cannot wait.
The villa is unbelievably beautiful, clean and well equipped . Sabina is just great, she came on time and maintained the villa as a villa like this should be. She also helped us with good visit tips around. For many years we usually book a villa for our family vacation, this one was the best! So thanks for everything and hope that next time we will take the Torre villa with the all family…
It was a wonderful, relaxing and perfect stay in your house. Very clean house, sunny weather, many hours on the bicycles, perfect pool and good dinner every day. Thank you very much.
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Bassa–the house is every bit as beautiful as the pictures, and the pool and grounds are stunning. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds and sitting areas were very comfortable. We did some exploring in nearby towns, but also spent some days just relaxing at the house and enjoying the pool and the beautiful views from the patio. Cynthia, the housekeeper, was extremely helpful–available whenever we needed her but not obtrusive. She prepared two delicious meals for us and we also hired a local cook one night and enjoyed fantastic meals in several of the nearby restaurants. We highly recommend the villa and hope to have the chance to return.
We chose this villa since it seemed a good fit for a group of seven adults and five children (ages 8 and younger). We were drawn to this villa for its amazing hilltop views and we were not disappointed; it is just as beautiful, if not more so, in person. Cynthia was very helpful and made our stay comfortable and pleasant. We were pleasantly surprised by the technology in the villa, such as the range and quality of the wi-fi, and wireless Sonos speakers. Overall the villa provides an elegant combination of function and charm. There are many spaces in this villa that are good for gathering, inside and outside, including the pool, which we all loved. We highly recommend Torre Bisenzio!
Beats expectations! The villa is perfect. There is an abundance of kitchenware, towels supplies, necessities, etc. All the stuff you need for a nice vacay. Wish it had aircon as Europe is becoming unbearably hot these last few summers. A bar by the pool area would also save many trips back and forth to the kitchen. But overall, perfect villa and very well maintained with owners thinking of every small detail. Owner’s comments: Dear Guest, Thank you for the recommendations. We are currently in the process of installing air-conditioning units in all bedrooms and the Guest House Lounge, this will be ready for 2018. We are also looking into a bar/refrigerator unit in the gazebo by the pool. We hope that this will be installed for 2018. Best wishes Neena
We sadly just left paradise. We had an amazing trip. And while the villa was perfect the best part of the experience was Cynthia and Sabina- they took care of us with such warmth, love and kindness. For this we are so grateful. Our children loved every minute with them! Hope to be back soon and hope you have a wonderful week at your beautiful piece of heaven!
